About the editor:

A pro triathlete for nine years, KEVIN MACKINNON retired from pro racing three weeks after his daughter, Chelsea, was born. Two more children, Sean and Ian, followed over the next four years. Since “pretending to find a real job,” Kevin has coached numerous professional and age group triathletes, managed the Triathlon Pro Tour, worked as the communications director for Ironman Canada and Ironman North America and is currently the managing editor of Ironman.com. He’s also the editor of Triathlon Magazine Canada and the author of two books, A Healthy Guide to Sport and A Healthy Guide to Competition. He’s also married to a world champion triathlete: His wife, Sharon, won the world sprint championship in 2008.
